project description | The renovation of two security desks, inspired by the surrounding Art Deco architectural movement, involved a thorough assessment of their existing conditions. Prioritizing durability and security, the design and placement of the new desks addressed these key concerns. My role consisted of taking site pictures, preparing design presentations, building the security desks Revit families and recreate the interior spaces. Utilizing Revit and Enscape, I generated design intent renderings for the new desks.

Site Visit

Accompanied by the principal designer, I visited the site to photograph the interiors and desks, gaining insights into their current condition. Engaging with the security staff revealed challenges such as poor visibility, insufficient storage, and outdated technology.

Precedents

Before the client meeting, I curated a precedent slide featuring images from our site visit showcasing the Art Deco influence, underpinning our design approach. During the presentation, we showcased preliminary renderings alongside site visit photographs highlighting the Art Deco architectural interior elements to the client.
